Animal research

For reading we all made a poster. First we had to pick a animal to research. Then we had to research its habitat, babies, and diet. Mine was bush babies. We went on various sites to look at facts. Then we wrote down the facts on a poster and it was really fun.  

Reading play ft. the otters!

A few weeks ago my reading group had a play it was called The bus monitor. We  had least people so we had  to ask two more people to join. I was the bus monitor. At first we introduced our self's in the story there was a robot bus driver, and two kids. It was really fun! I can't wait for another play.

Growth mind set

In room 5 we all made mantras about being positive. It was really fun. The one that is under this is the one that I made. I chose this one because it was really inspiring to me and really cool.

Shrove Tuesday

On Shrove Tuesday we went to room one to make pancakes first we had to make the pancake mixture we used a sieve to get the lumps out of the flour then we added the milk and steered it it looks really mushy but when we put in more milk. Then we had to go and start our blogs and wait for the pancakes. When we were on the way out to leave we get another piece it was fun!

A few weeks ago we learnt about sun smart and we had to find a group and do a poster about sun smart and the picture is the one that we did we had slip,slope,wrap,and slide and we have picture that represent the word and a sun I am really looking forward for more sun smart.

A few weeks ago room 5 all made their own puzzle piece and we decorated our puzzle with stuff that we like. after we had finished decorating our puzzle we stuck it on the window to show our parents/caregivers!!! I wonder what else we will be doing next time!

Swimming sports 🏊

                                             
On Wednesday we had the Connolly swimming sport. They were at the west wave pools. I entered the twenty five mitre freestyle fifty mitre freestyle twenty five mitre breaststroke and twenty five mitre backstroke. At first I was really nervous but when I got in the water I got really exited. Then I actually got first place! Then it was time to do fifty mitre freestyle I was so scared. Then we started I went really fast on the other end I tumble turned and swam back. When I got to the other end the others were behide me and I got first. It was time to do the twenty five mitre backstroke my friend said that he was really good at backstroke and I was like oh no. When I got in we started I actually was second for a few seconds but I went into try-hard mode and I got first. Now it was breaststroke but I wasn't nervous I don't know why. At the end of the non competitive we had the relays our house got second place and that was the end.
